I am African-American.  I am a woman.  I married to anther woman, who is White.  I am a daughter. I am an aunt.  I am a niece. I am a cousin.  I am a military brat.  I have a PhD in developmental psychology.  I study human sexuality.  I was a university professor.  I am a believer.  I am a skeptic.  I am a life-long learner.  I have lived in San Diego, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Madison, WI, New York and Japan.  All of these things make up who I am and ultimately my experience in this world, our world.
